THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM!
Matthew 8:27
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Many Are yet to understand How Powerful, How awesome Jesus is .
If many knows how Powerful Jesus is , they will not serve him with hypocrisy.
If many knows how Powerful Jesus is , they will not serve him and mammon .
The Confession Of Christ Disciple came as the results of the ultimate demonstration of the power of God.
They saw what they’ve never seen before , they have witnessed numerous of His miraculous.
But They Were More Shocked and Surprised that “the winds and the sea Could OBEY HIM “
Beloved, there is no situation that can not hear and obey the voice of Jesus .
This is why :
If There is anything you must desire , desire to know Christ.
If There is anything you must love at all — love Christ supremely.
If There is anything you must cherish — cherish your union with Christ.
If There is anything you must aspire — you must aspire to be like Christ.
The Winds And The Sea Can be liken :
1 . A situation That seems to Frustrate What God Has Promised You And What God Has said Concerning Your life .
What was it that was prophesied about Jesus “He is a deliverer “
The Sea and the wind was invoke by Satan to Frustrate What was Written Concerning Christ.
But Jesus Power is Super Power , Every Other Power must Bow Before Him .
2. Fear and doubt: The wind and the sea are situations that provoke fear and doubts in the hearts of believers, leading them to question God’s presence and care for them.
“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” (Matthew 14:30)
3. Feeling lost and hopeless: The wind and the sea are situations that make a child of God feel lost and without direction, struggling to find their path in life.
4. Feeling alone and abandoned: The wind and the sea are mountains that can cause a child of God to feel alone and abandoned by God.
“Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.” (Psalm 69:1-2)
5. Fear of the unknown: The wind and the sea are Circumstances that instil fear in the hearts of believers about the unknown future.
“The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.” (Psalm 93:4)
Regardless Of The shape and the size of your problems and situation, Remember The Winds and the Sea Obey Him .
We can also overcome the sea and the winds that want to stop God’s agenda for our life .
If We will Experience Victory , We must Keep Close To Jesus .
Remember Jesus Was in the Boat with them And So The Sea And The Wind Couldn’t Destroy Them .
Are We Close To Jesus Or We Are Far From Jesus .
IF you Will Keep Close to Jesus :
If we would keep close to Jesus—we must keep close to his WORD.
It reveals his mind, displays his love, and exhibits his beauty.
It is a revelation of his deepest, sweetest, kindest thoughts.
It is an exhibition of his infinite, eternal, deathless love.
It is a mirror in which we may see his unparalleled beauty and excellency.
No one can keep close to Jesus and would not seriously, and prayerfully read his Word daily.
That word, received into the heart by faith, digested by meditation, and Applied in practice will bring the soul and Christ together.
2 . If we would keep close to Jesus—we must attend to his ORDINANCES.
3. If we would keep close to Jesus—we must THINK much of Him.
Our thoughts always influence our feelings.
If our thoughts are not with Christ—our hearts are not with Christ.
4. If we would keep close to Jesus—we must be much in PRAYER.
Prayer brings Christ and the soul together.
5. If we would keep close to Jesus—we must be exercising FAITH in Him.
Not only believing that he came into the world to save sinners—but realising that he loves us, takes a deep interest in us, always keeps his eye on us, and is ever with us.
Faith, if Scriptural and lively—is always going to Jesus—and receiving from Jesus.
It carries every care, every cross, every trial to Jesus.
6.If we would keep close to Jesus—we must LOVE Him.
Nothing brings parties together like love,
If We really love Jesus, We shall be in his company; Our heart will be filled with love to him.
7.If we would keep close to Jesus—we must be EMPLOYED for Him.
Jesus has something for us to do, and he want us to do it.
Not that he could not carry on all his affairs without us—but he want us to show our love to him, by doing something for him.
8.If we would keep close to Jesus—we must be constantly expecting his appearing.
TRUE believers lived, expecting him; they stood prepared for him, therefore they could do, or suffer, anything in his cause.
Death had no terrors for them—for it was only going to be with Jesus!
THE POWER OF THE VOICE OF JESUS.
1 . The voice of Jesus will bring deliverance –
Psalm 34:17 (KJV) “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
2 . The voice of Jesus will bring revival
– Joel 2:28 (KJV) “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…”
3. The voice of Jesus will bring restoration –
Joel 2:25 (KJV) “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
4.The voice of Jesus will bring victory over death –
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 (KJV) “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory… But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
5. The voice of Jesus will heal the sick –
Matthew 4:23 (KJV) “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”
6. The voice of Jesus will cast out demons – Mark 1:34 (KJV) “And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.”

John 14:27 (KJV) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
