HEAVEN SEEKER

HEAVEN SEEKER

We have been talking about heaven. We have been talking about holiness. We have been talking about righteousness. We have been talking about the Holy Ghost and He’s indwelling power. And now we want to talk about something that is very important for our soul.

In this message we are going to know who can be called a heaven seeker. After this message I want you to examine yourself, “Am I a heaven seeker?”
This is because you cannot get to heaven if you are not seeking heaven.

If you know what heaven is all about you will seek for it until you get it. If you know the glory that is awaiting you in heaven, you will seek for it. If you know what God has prepared for you in heaven, you’ll seek for the heavenly city.

Though the devil may tell you that there are many things in the world and that you have to enjoy the entertainment of the world. But my brothers and sisters, if you know what God has prepared for you in heaven, I know that you’ll really strive for the holy city.

If you know the joy unspeakable that is awaiting you in heaven, you’ll seek for it until you get it.

One of the greatest blessings of God is when you are qualified to inherit His kingdom. To dwell where He dwells. To dwell in the city of gold. To dwell in the city of angels. And to dwell in the city of the blessed saints.

I may forget all the things of this world but I can never forget the glory of heaven and the horrible place of hell. What keeps me moving and striving despite oppositions, persecutions, trials and temptations, affliction and sicknesses, is the glory that I have seen. And that is the glory of the heavenly city.

How can I manage to miss what I have seen with my own eyes?
How can I make such a foolish decision to go to that horrible place of hell?

So, if I’m talking about heaven, I don’t want you to get angry at that. Don’t think, “When are we going to talk about breakthrough? When are we going to talk about how to get visa?”

All those things are earthly things. Yes, we need blessings and breakthroughs, but the Bible says that we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness {Matthew 6:33}. And when you pursue righteousness and the kingdom of God, the blessings of the Lord will come upon you.

If you really get the picture of the enjoyment of heaven; even the voice of the Father is full of joy; the voices of the angels are full of joy. What about the movements of the angels? The bright light from the body of the Father? The glory of the angels? The glorified body of the saints? Your heart will be full of joy.

Now if you see and get the picture of that heavenly city, I am telling you that you are going to seek for it until you get it.

You know, there are so many people that when you ask them, “Are you a Christian?” They will say, “Of course, I’m a pilgrim. I’m traveling to heaven.”
And after they have travelled for 2/3 years, they begin to lose the vision of the heavenly city.
“How long will I get there? When will I get there?

If truly that place is glorious, how come I don’t feel the presence of the Owner of that glorious city?”

Let me tell you something. You may pass through trials, persecutions and afflictions but if you can endure to the end; if you can be a heaven seeker to the end, there is greater joy awaiting you.

There is limit to the joy of this world. But the joy of heaven has no limit. It is from everlasting to everlasting.

If all we talk about is heaven, yes, it’s worth talking about. That is the reason of our gathering.
We are just like a man that is drilling the ground looking for a precious thing with a detector present. And the detector said, “Something precious is here.” And this man began to drill and drill that place. And the detector kept saying, “There is something precious in this ground.” He knew the detector can never lie so he kept on drilling until when he saw his desire. Then he leaped for joy, “I got it at last.”

So like this man, we have to drill; endure; persevere and continue until we get to heaven. Because it is not those that run well from the beginning that will be glorified but those that finished well. That is, it is those that finished well that will be glorified.

Heaven is too precious to lose.
Hell is too horrible to inherit.

The call of God to you today is that, you should be a true heaven seeker. You have to understand that before you can be called a heaven seeker you must have been adopted into God’s family. You must have become a child of God.

You must have given your life to Jesus Christ. That is the beginning of the journey.

You cannot just start running without having Jesus in your life. You cannot just be placed on the narrow way without Jesus in your life.

There are so many people who claim to be heaven seeker but they are floating on the sea of self-delusion. They are deceiving themselves. They don’t live as heaven seeker and yet they say, “I am a heaven seeker. I am going to heaven,” when they are not actually on the narrow way.

We have thousands, millions and billions of them in today’s churches.
People who only go to church because of the gift the pastor will give to them. People who go to church because they want to hear the latest joke.
People who go to church because they want to know the enemy that is troubling their life.
People that are going to church because they want the minister to prophesy into their life.
Some are going to church to look for boyfriend and girlfriend.
Some are going to church because they are in a secret society but don’t want people to discover them. And yet they say, “I am heaven seeker.

In a revelation I had, I was in a particular Pentecostal campground. It was as if they were organising a convention. As I was there I saw a group of men. They were putting on a long black robe mixed with golden colour with long red cap and a rod in their hands. They were many. And this church is one of the recommended churches in the society.

A church that we can still point to that they are trying, even if others are compromising. Though they are compromising but they are trying.

Then I asked, “Lord, who are these men?
And the Lord said, ” These people are ritualists. They are the one supporting this ministry. And they are doing that in order to hide their evil works.”

If you ask such people, “Are you a heaven seeker?” They’ll say, “Of course, I am going to heaven.” But I know if their conscience is not dead, it will tell them, “You are deceiving yourself.”

May the Lord open our eyes to this passage in Jesus name.
Psalm 63:1 KJV
“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”

That is a heaven seeker talking there. “I will seek you early.” Because if I don’t seek you, when death closes my eyes and I am laid down in the cold grave and because I choose not to walk with you on earth, then I must not expect to live with you in heaven. Therefore, that is why I seek you early.

“My soul thirsteth for thee.” Before your soul can thirst for someone, you must have loved the person, cared for the person, have a relationship with the person.

“My flesh longeth for thee.” That is, in his daily walk. Because he is a heaven seeker.

“In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” That is, when I have no food nor cloth; when the enemy rise against me; when things does not go the way I expect, yet, I will seek for you. Why?

It is because I want to see your power and glory as I have seen it in the sanctuary.

Psalm 63:2 KJV
“To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”

When I sing to you, I am filled of your joy. I want to see the person that bestowed His love to me. The person that manifests His presence to me when I am in His service. I don’t want this joy alone in your sanctuary – not in the church alone; not in the fellowship alone; not in the vigil alone, but I want to see that in heaven.

Psalm 63:3 KJV
“Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.”

It is by your loving kindness that You sent your only Son to die for me. You died for me because of your loving kindness upon my soul. And therefore, my lips will never speak defilement – it will never utter anything that will defile my garment.

I will make sure that every language and words that will come out of my mouth will praise your name. It’s going to glorify your loving kindness for my soul.

Psalm 63:4 KJV
“Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.”

As long as I am breathing, I will do my best to please You; to love You; to do what You will. I will lift up my hands in Thy name. In the midst of the brethren; in the neighborhood; in the school; I will do what will make people to say, “This is a true child of God.”

Psalm 63:5 KJV
“My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:”

That is, I will be satisfied with the riches that you give me. I will be satisfied with the food that you give me. I will be satisfied with everything you give me. I will never have covetousness. I will never lust after the affairs of life. My soul shall be satisfied. Give me little and I’m okay. My soul shall be satisfied.

Psalm 63:6 KJV
“When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.”

Whenever I want to sleep and I’m on my bed, Lord I can’t stop thinking about You. That is the heaven seeker talking there. How I wish tonight can be my last sleep on earth, then I go to heaven. How I wish as I’m about to sleep, I should see myself walking in the streets of gold with the angels and the Lord should give me the grace to come back to the world.

Psalm 63:7 KJV
“Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.”

When the enemy comes, I will stand with you. When the storm blows, I will stand with you. When the road gets tall and tall, I will stand with you.

Psalm 63:8 KJV
“My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.”

If your soul can cleave to God. If you can follow God hardly, despite the situation – when you are weak, “I want to get to heaven;” When you fall, you rise up, “I want to get to heaven.” The Lord says if you do your best and you want to get to heaven, “I will uphold you with my right hand.”
That is the promise of God to us.

“Follow me hard and I will uphold you with my right hand. If you follow me lightly, be ready to fall.”

We want to consider three (3) points.

POINT 1: WHO IS A HEAVEN SEEKER?
POINT 2: THE LOST AND WOUNDED HEAVENLY SEEKER.
POINT 3: THE RESTORATION AND PRAYER FOR HEAVENLY SEEKERS.

🌼POINT 1: WHO IS A HEAVEN SEEKER?

This is a question. And I will give us about twenty five (25) answers and explain briefly. If you can allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you this moment, that is when you are going to discover yourself – whether you are a heaven seeker or not.

1. They are children of God.
As many that believe in Him, He gave them power to become children of God. {John 1:12}
So what am I trying to say? Heaven seekers are not children of the devil. For he that sins is of the devil. {1 John 3:8}.

If you truly belong to God, you are going to live as He will. And not every one that says, “Lord! Lord!,” are the children of God. Billions of people that scream in the churches today, “Oh Lord my God,” heaven will reply to them, “I don’t know you. You are not my child.”

1 John 1:6 KJV
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:”

1 John 1:7 KJV
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

If we claim to be children of God and don’t have the light of God in our life and the scripture that says in:
2 Timothy 2:19 KJV
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

If we cast this word behind us. And name the name of the Lord when we are living in iniquity, we are not children of God. If we say we love Him; know Him; are His children and walk not in His light, it says, we walk in darkness and there is no light in us.

What gives you confidence that you are a child of God is your walk in the light of God. Not your profession but walking in the light of God.

2. These are the people that loves God passionately.
Heaven seekers love God passionately. They can give up anything because of their love for God. Whatever heaven require them to surrender, they surrender. They love God and wants to see the God that loves them because He first love them.

1 John 4:10 KJV
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

He that choose to die for me, I will give anything for His sake.

1 John 2:4-5 KJV
“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”

I love God. But;
Can we see that in your obedience?
Can we see that in your character?
Can we see that in the way you approach people?

“I love God! I love God”, it’s not by mouth but by the life.

3. They abide in God.
This is not seasonal abiding but a consistent abiding. This is not off and on in the family of Christ – abiding today, gone tomorrow; abide last week, gone this week. And he will say, “Last week, I was on fire for God.” What about this week?

“Last week I served God with all my heart.” What about this week?

1 John 2:6 KJV
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

They abide in the Lord and walk as He walked.

Philippians 2:5 KJV
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”

They abide in the Lord.
They have the mind of God.
They walk as the Lord has walked.
They do things as the Lord would have done it.
They respond to questions the way the Lord would have responded.
They confront challenges and persecutions the way the Lord would have confronted them.
They abide in the Lord consistently – everyday, every night, every year, every month, every week, every second.
They don’t want to do anything that will defile them because they know they belong to God.
“He that sin is of the devil”, is always written in their mind. They put that in their door post.
“If I sin, I’m of the devil and the seed of God does not remain in me.

4. Their soul thirst for God.
They thirst for God.
“When shall I see you? When shall I see the heavenly city?”
That is a heaven seeker. They are not earthly seekers. They are genuinely heaven seekers.
Their soul thirst for God consistently – everyday, every night, every year, every month, every week, every hour, every second.

Psalm 63:1 KJV
“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”

5. They greatly desire God.
Psalm 27:4 KJV
“One thing have I desired of the Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple.”

That is a heaven seeker talking there. He wants to abide daily in the temple of God, not only on earth but also in heaven.
I want to dwell and abide in the Lord all the days of my life.
They greatly desire God.

Psalm 16:8 KJV
“I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

He set the Lord before him like a mirror. The life of the Lord is a mirror to him. Whenever he looks into that mirror, he looks into himself to see if there’s any defilements and he removes them because he greatly desires God.

When he is walking he sets the Lord before his eyes. When he’s about to sleep he sets the Lord before his eyes. Whenever he wants to do anything he sets the Lord before his eyes because he desires God greatly.

I pray for you: The grace to desire God greatly, receive it in Jesus name.

Isaiah 26:9 KJV
“With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”

He wakes up at midnight thinking about heaven and God. He greatly desires that heavenly city. That is a heaven seeker.

Psalm 73:25 KJV
“Whom have I in heaven but thee ? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”

They desire God above all things.

6. They listen to the voice of God.
“Lord Speak!”
Whenever God is speaking to them or  correcting them; they always want Him to speak. They will not say, “Ah Lord, this thing is too much.”
They’d rather say, “Lord speak. Your son is hearing.” They listen to the voice of God.

They are not disobedient to the voice of God. They never disagree when the voice of God tells them to do something. They never argue. They never say, “It’s too much.” They never complain but listen to the voice of God. That’s heaven seekers.

7. They are in perfect obedience to God.
They are silent when God tells them to be silent. They speak when God tells them to speak. They don’t go where the Lord bids them not to go. They don’t say what the Lord asks them not to say. They don’t watch/look what the Lord bids them not to watch/look. They are in perfect obedience to God.

They are obedient with:
🌼 Trembling.
🌼 Great love.
🌼 Cheerfulness.

These are the people that are heaven seekers. And these are the people that will surely get to heaven.

1 John 3:22 KJV
“And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”

They do all things that please God. They flee from whatever would not please God.
“How can I dare to break the heart of the bleeding Saviour?” That is always their confession.
“How can I dare commit such offense against my God?”
“How can I dare condemn and sentence my soul with my own hands?”
“How can I dare do things that are against the will of my Maker?”

1 John 5:3 KJV
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

This is the true love of God. This is perfect obedience to God. That we keep His commandments.

We do not disagree with His commandments. We are in perfect obedience to God. Obedience without complaining and murmuring – “Lord, why did you tell us to leave Egypt where we ate melon and cucumber.”
Heavenly seekers don’t say that.

But they say bye bye to the world and they mean it. They are in perfect obedience with God.

8. They follow the Lord at all times.
They do not follow the Lord when things are very nice alone, but they follow the Lord at all times.

You know we have the dry season and the rainy season. Likewise in the spirit realm, we have good times and bad times.

The heaven seekers have this in mind: The God of the good times is still the God in the bad times. The God in the valley is the same God on the mountain. So when things goes wrong they say, “Well, that is the will of God. He’s training my soul.”

They follow the Lord at all times.
If your walk with God is not consistent; if you only follow the Lord for sometime and at another time you have gone away, you are not following the Lord.

John 10:27 KJV
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

When the Lord says, “Come up here,” they run quickly. They follow and obey the Lord even if it’s going to cost them their life. They follow the Lord at all times.

John 12:26 KJV
“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”

You see that? “..they will follow me and My Father is going to honor them.”

9. They sacrifice self and give their life in love.
Matthew 10:38 KJV
“And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”

Matthew 10:39 KJV
“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

You see that? They sacrifice themselves. They risk their lives for the sake of Christ because they are in love with God.

They sacrifice self. They crucify and sacrifice all the self-seeking; self-pleasing; self-appetite. They sacrifice their time, money, business, honor, popularity, possession, fame and all that they are and have for the sake of the Lord. And they give their life in love.

“I must not go to Jerusalem alone to be burned, but also to be killed for the sake of Christ.”
That will be the claim of every heaven seeker.

Revelation 12:11 KJV
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

10. They honor and obey God than man.
When man tell them to do things that are against the word of God, they don’t do it.
“How do you expect me to do such thing? I’d rather obey God than men.”

Acts 5:29 KJV
“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

“Stop preaching!” And you too you stopped?
“Stop preaching! If you don’t stop, I will pour hot water on your body.”

“Is hot water hot? Why don’t you put acid so that I can die quickly and go to heaven?”

“You want to shoot me? Why don’t you stab me instead?
That will be the proclamation of the heaven seeker. They love not their life unto death and are to obey God rather than men.

11. They love everybody as themselves.
They don’t just love the people that only do good to them, but also love those that hurts them; hates them; dislikes them; persecutes them; afflicts them; speak against them and falsely accuse them.

They love God and love others as theirselves. If it is not possible that I should pour hot water on my body myself, how can I wish my neighbor evil?

1 John 4:20-21 KJV
“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

[21] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

That means if you claim to love God when you hate your neighbor, it is a big lie. You do not love God.

Holiness without love is equals to hell.
You say, “Holiness! Holiness”, and you love not your neighbor as yourself, you are going to hell.

This love has no limits. It’s not love to the believers and hatred to the unbelievers. And when you see unbelievers, you just get angry at them and speak with them anyhow. But when you are now talking with the brethren, you use a sweet voice and a calm tone. You do not love God.

They know that they are travellers upon the face of the earth. Therefore, they make their life count for eternity. They make their walk in the world to be counted for eternity. Their conducts, behavior, character and lifestyle are counted for eternity. This is because they know that they don’t belong to the world.

13. They never seek physical needs above God.

Some will pray three prayer points about heaven and spend an hour praying for their earthly needs – “I want to buy a car,” “I want husband,” “I want wife”, “I want to build a house,” “I want children”. They can just pray for three minutes about heaven and they are tired. “I need money. I need this and that.” That is not a heaven seeker.

Heaven seekers will not seek physical things above God.
Matthew 4:4 KJV
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

14. They love God above everyone.
They love Him above their husband, wife and children.

A woman son died and she said, “I will never forgive God.” And she began to speak evil of God.
We are not to love anybody above God. No matter how your father, mother, wife, husband may be caring, you must not love them above God because it is written in:

Matthew 10:37 KJV
“He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”

Genesis 22:12 KJV
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.”

Abraham expressed his love to God. His expressed how he loved God above Isaac.

15. They seek heavenly things.
Matthew 6:20-21 KJV
“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

[21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

16. They don’t put God’s service above loving Him.
There are some preachers; singers that are so busy preaching and preaching about; singing and singing about – travelling about preaching and singing. But they have no personal time with God. Their quiet time is wounded. They love their work above God.

Their love for service is above the love they have for God.

Revelation 2:3-5 KJV
“And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

[4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

[5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Yes, you labor; you preach; you sing; do morning cry; peach in the bus and so on. But you love them more than Him.

17. They fear and reverence God.
There’s a difference between ‘reverence’ and ‘fear’.
You cannot reverence God if you do not have the fear of God.

And you cannot have the fear of God if you do not reverence God. So, when you fear God, you will manifest reverence to Him.

That is, you’ll honor Him before others. You will never do anything that will make people to cast a stone at the name of Jesus Christ. You will never say anything that will make people to cast a stone at the name of Jesus.

You will never put on the kind of dress that will make people to say, “Ahhh, look at him/her, a Christian.”

They fear, love and reverence God with all their soul, spirit, strength and body. They always compose themselves when they are in the presence of God.

18. They take time to sit at Jesus’ feet.
Not like matter that was busy with the entertainments of the world – food; cooking; money; children;  this and that. The burdens has filled her heart.

“Lord! I am the one doing this. Why can’t you tell my sister, Mary to join me?”
And the Lord said in:
Luke 10:42 KJV
“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Mary sat at Jesus feet. {Read Luke 10:38-42}.
Mary is a good example of a heaven seeker. She took time to sit at Jesus’ feet. Why?
“I want to know the condition of my salvation. I want to know how I can get to that glorious place.”

That is a good example of a heaven seeker.

19. They always cast their worries and burdens on the Lord.
“Well, I know that it is because in the world I will face tribulation but beyond I will never witness any tribulation.”

No matter what they are going through; how rough the way is; how difficult things are, these people are calling upon the Lord.

1 Peter 5:7 KJV
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

20. They are humble before God.
That’s heaven seekers. They are full of humility. Even humble to death. Because of their love God; reverence to God and fear of God, they are humble before God.

When God speaks, they say, “Yes Lord.”
Not, “Lord, this thing is too much for me o.”
No! They are not like that. They are so humble. Not just humble to God alone but humble to men as well. They don’t say, “I senior this person. He’s a baby in Christ and is supposed to address me as ‘father in the Lord.”

They don’t say, “Even if you senior me in spirituality, I am older than you in age.”

But they are so humble. When they walk, you will go to the secret and say, “Lord, I want to be like this person.” That is a heaven seeker.

Micah 6:8 KJV
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

21. They are witnesses of the kingdom.
“Come, and I will make you fishers of men.”
These people are fishers of men. They witness Christ and the heavenly city; tell people of the heavenly city; tell people of it’s glory because they are sure of that place. They call people to come unto the Lord.

And they have this in mind: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” {Mark 16:15}.

22. They seek the will of God and not their own.
Whatever they want to do – in marriage; in seeking for admission; in applying for job and so on, the first thing they consider is this: “Is this the will of God?”

If you always say ‘Yes’ when God have not said ‘Yes’, you are not a heaven seeker.

A man said, “I want to marry you”, and you say ‘Yes’ when God have not said so, you are not a heaven seeker.

You applied for a job and after all the processes involved, the Manager said, ” You have been offered the job.” And you say ‘Yes’ when God have not said ‘Yes’, you are not a heaven seeker.

23. They submit their plans to God.
“I want to become this and this.” And they submit it to God. “God, is this Your will? If it is Your will, let it come to pass. If it is not Your will, take it away.”

They submit their plans to God. They do not worry because of tomorrow. No! But they submit their plans to God.

24. Their life always portray the life of Christ.
They shine always as a light. And people see the light of Christ in their life. They see the life of Jesus in their life.

25. They abstain from a defilements.
They run from whatever that will defile them became they don’t want to defile themselves.

Shout this prayer now:
Every defilement on my spiritual garment, blood of Jesus wash them away.

🌼POINT 2: THE LOST AND WOUNDED HEAVENLY SEEKER.

Who are such people?
They are those won’t seek God.
They were once children of God.
They once thirsted for God.

They once submitted their lives to God.
They once feared and reverence God.
Sometime ago, their life portrayed the life of Christ.

Sometime ago, they shined as light.
Sometime ago, they always strive to stay from all defilements.
Sometime ago, they seek the will of God and not their own.
Sometime ago, they loved God passionately.

Sometime ago, they took time to sit at the feet of Jesus.
Sometime ago, they always casted their worries and burdens on the Lord.
Sometimes ago, they obeyed and honoured God more than men.

Sometime ago, they were in perfect obedience to God.
Sometimes ago, they were in obedience to the word of God.
Sometime ago, their lives was full of love for their neighbor.

Sometime ago, they saw the things that pertains to God as physical needs.
Sometime ago, they loved God above all things.
Sometime ago, they didn’t love the service of God above loving God.
Sometime ago, they abided in God.
Sometime ago, they greatly desired God.

But now they are not only lost but wounded as well. This is because they have gone out from the family of God and the enemy has captured their soul.

Now they have exposed their life to the predators. They are now preys to the lions of this world.
The assurance of heaven is now gone.
The assurance of rapture is now gone.
The assurance of their names in the Book of life is gone.

Some of them say, “If I should die now, I’m not sure of heaven. If the rapture should take place now, I cannot go.

“Ahhh, if God should see here, He will not be happy,” “I’m not even sure if my name is in the Book of life again,” “I’m very sure my name is not there again.”

But sometime ago, the assurance was there. “Yes. My name is in the Book of life. My name is in glory.”

But now they are doing eye service. “They must see me. If the brethren does not see me again, they will call me a backslider. I must go. Is it not to pray, sing and to listen to the word of God?”

The peace in the heart is gone. They now pray in the flesh. That is, they are not in the spirit again when they pray. Now the Bible has become sleeping dose. They can’t read the Bible again. But before they were known as a man/woman of fire. They are lost and wounded.

When you are lost, do you think the devil will just be looking at you? No! He will wound you to the extent that you’ll only be crawling and will not have strength to walk.

I pray for you in the name of Jesus that if you have been wounded, you will receive your healing. If you have been lost, the right hand of God will find you.

Why are they lost?
But these people were once known as heaven seekers. We can see so many people around us that were on fire in time past, that when they are praying beside you, you yourself will feel that a child of God is praying. All of a sudden, when he’s praying, he’d be sleeping and dosing.

I pray for you in the name of Jesus, every power that has determined to make you a crawling Christian so that you’ll go to hell, they will die.

WHY ARE THEY LOST AND WOUNDED?

Listen to me, the fault is not from God. God cannot be blamed for any heaven seeker that are lost and wounded.
If I do anything that is against the will of God, I know the blame is not from God. Before every child of God goes astray, there is always the voice of the Spirit that will speak to them.

Different dreams will be coming that will tell you danger is coming. But most always proclaim, “I can put fire in my bosom and I will not be burnt,” “I can enter the den of Delilah and my spiritual eyes will not be removed; my power will not be cut off,” “I can go to the land of the Philistines and come back safely.

But God has warned, “This is the time you need to run for your life.” But you are too sure of your strength, “I am very sure. I am to big to fall. I am too big to compromise.”

And time after time, month after month the Lord is revealing to you yo yourself, walking naked. You saw yourself taking your bath in the public where people are passing by. You saw yourself walking bare footed. You saw yourself putting on only underwear. You saw yourself putting on jewelries, attachments and makeups in your dream. The Lord is telling you that danger is coming. And yet you say, “I can put fire under my bosom and not be burnt.

Because of pride and self dependence, many heaven seekers have been buried in hell.
Trust in the Lord and He will give you sufficient strength to please Him.
But why are they so easily lost and wounded? That their sins are now even manifesting in public. And people can now say, ” This man/woman is a backslider.”

WHY ARE THEY LOST AND WOUNDED?

1. They are too busy to take time with God.
Business, work, money, children, wife/husband, education and so on have taken their time. They are too busy that they neglect their time with God. Such heaven seeker becomes lost and wounded.

Isaiah 28:12 KJV
“To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”

“Hey, you have to keep the Sabbath day holy. You have to be in the presence of God alone.”

But they will be like, “What about my business? Are we not going to eat at home?” You are lost. You are wounded.

I pray that the Lord will heal you in Jesus name.

2. They have been caught up with the world and it cares.

Some people say, “This world is sweet. Very sweet. I want to enjoy the world.” Ask the person, “Were you not a Christian before? Were you not born again before?”

“Yes, I was. But I just want to enjoy little pleasure and go back again.”

What about if the Lord comes before you return? What about if you die before you return? What will be your lot?

3. It is because of cooling off and losing their first love.
They open their eyes to the things of this world and their love for Christ began to grow cold. And they do nothing about it. They believed in their self confidence until they finally lose their first love.

God will always be angry with those that have lost their first love.

Revelation 2:4-5 KJV
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

[5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

God is saying the same thing to some people today. Those that have lost their first love for God. The Spirit is saying, “I have somewhat against you because you left your first love. If you don’t repent and remember whence you have fallen, I will remove your candlestick.

4. It is because of doubting the love of God.
When things begin to go tough, they say, “If God truly loves me, how will He allow me to pass through this?”

And because of this, they went back to the world and ended up becoming lost and wounded.

5. Harbouring unrepented sins in their heart.
They supposed to repent from that sin since but they never did.

Isaiah 59:2 KJV
“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

6. Being too full of their own thoughts.
They only think about themselves and not thinking about heaven.

6. They lose focus of the heavenly vision.

🌼 POINT 3: THE RESTORATION AND PRAYER FOR HEAVEN SEEKERS.

If you have been lost, you have to pray for strength. You have to allow God to be your strength. If you have been wounded you must allow God to take over your life. To restore back the revival fire. The revival as of old.
Like the passion for God as of old; zeal like of old.

You must allow God to strengthen you because He can do what you cannot do.

But before God can restore you and strengthen you, you must discover yourself. It is so necessary.

One of the greatest disasters in this life is when somebody is lost and does not know that he is lost. It’s bad.
When a person is sick and does not know that he is sick. When somebody is buried spiritually and does not feel that he is buried spiritually. When the spiritual eyes have been removed and the fire and power has gone out of him and he doesn’t know that there is a problem.

Failure to discover yourself in your lost state will make you to remain a lost and wounded heaven seeker. And you cannot get to heaven.

That is why the Scripture bids us in:

Revelation 2:5 KJV
“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

If you don’t know what makes you to fall, you will not know what to confess. We are not to group sin. Don’t say, “Lord, I’m a sinner. Please forgive me.” No! You have to mention that particular sin. If it is lying, you say, “I have lied.” Whatever it is at all. That is why the Bible says in:

Proverbs 28:13 KJV
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
