SPIRITUAL GROWTH
1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
We should understand that it is the will of God that we grow , and the absence of growth is a proof that something is wrong with our CHRISTIAN profession.
When things that grow are expected to fail to grow , this will cause panic and trouble in the mind .
Before attempting to define and describe what the spiritual growth of a Christian is all about , we should first show what is capable of growth, for spiritual growth simply means a solid presence of spiritual life:
But have this in mind that only a regenerated person can grow.
Progress in the Christian life is impossible unless I am a true Christian.
Why do we say True Christians ? Because there are three kinds of CHRISTIANS.
Preacher-made : These are people who are forced and pressured by preachers to put On a new life .
Their consciences were never searched and touched.
They had no sense of their lost condition before God .
They were forced to be enlisted under the banner of Christ,“”unite with God’s people in their crusade against the devil.”
Such converts are like mushrooms: they spring up in a night and survive but a short time, having no root in Christ.
Self-made : These are people that have been deluded by Religious Hustlers , False teachers and false teachings.
They had been given the understanding that God loves everybody, that Christ died for the whole human race, and that nothing is required of them but faith in the gospel.
Once a confession is made , they can continue with their normal life , in their cause of sin , they believe that Grace covers them .
God-made ones : God-made Christians are a miracle of grace, the products of Divine workmanship (Ephesians 2:10).
They are a Divine creation, brought into existence by supernatural operations.
HOW CAN WE EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL GROWTH.
It takes clear focus and commitment to our God who works miracles within us to grow in a way that reflects His character more and more.
1 . CREATING TIME FOR STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD.
2 . PERSONAL PRAYER FOR MORE OF CHRIST.
3 . BE COMMITTED IN THE SCHOOL OF HOLY GHOST.
4. FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHERS BELIEVES WHO IS ON FIRE FOR GOD .
5 . REVISIT YOUR JOTTING NOTE.
6 . LEARN FROM THE MISTAKES OF OTHERS.
7 . SERVE
8 . WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
Learning to walk in the Spirit is learning to say no to the flesh and yes to God.
It’s the willingness to put God in the driver’s seat of our lives and to choose to deny our own fleshly nature.
And, it’s not always easy. In fact, it can be really, really hard, every single day.
The enemy will bring temptation and fear. He will do everything He can to lead us away from choosing to live fully for God.
But once we determine in our hearts that we will walk in God’s ways.
9. BE ATTENTIVE TO GOD’S VOICE DURING HARD TIME .

11 . EXERCISE YOUR POWER OF CHOICE.
ENEMY OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH.
1 . SECRET SIN .
2 . PROCRASTINATION .
3 . I DON’T CARE ATTITUDE IN GOD’S PRESENCE.
4 . NOT TAKING DIVINE INSTRUCTION SERIOUS.
5 . LAZINESS IN PRAYER .
6 . ALWAYS HAVING EXCUSES FOR SKIPPING PROGRAM.
